Terms of Service — version 2026-09-01-draft-v2 Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE] 1. Who we are This service is operated by [LEGAL NAME], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS], company registration number [COMPANY REGISTRATION NUMBER], tax number [TAX NUMBER]. You can reach us at support@collegerecruit.tech. 2. What the service is College Recruit Compass is self-serve software. It helps you research colleges and programmes, keep a shortlist, track eligibility and visa steps, and draft messages to college coaches. We are not an agency, we do not represent you to any college, we do not guarantee any offer, scholarship, admission or visa, and we never send email on your behalf. You review and send every message yourself from your own mailbox. 3. Who may use it You may create an account for yourself if you are 16 or older. If you are under 16, a parent or guardian must approve the account before it becomes usable. A parent or guardian may also create the account for a child under 16. Accounts awaiting approval cannot store or use athlete data. 4. Your account Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@collegerecruit.tech if you believe it has been misused. 5. Acceptable use Do not upload unlawful content, impersonate anyone, harass coaches or other users, scrape the service, or use it to send bulk or unsolicited email. Report abuse to abuse@collegerecruit.tech. 6. Your content You keep ownership of everything you write and upload. You grant us only the permission we need to store it and show it back to you, and — if and only if you explicitly publish it — to display it on a public page. 7. Payment The Recruit plan is a single one-time payment as shown on the pricing page and covers 12 months of access from the date of purchase. It is not a subscription and does not renew automatically, so there are no recurring charges to cancel. 8. Right of withdrawal and refunds If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because access begins immediately on payment, at checkout you will be asked to expressly request immediate performance and to acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once access has been fully provided. Before you make that request you may withdraw within 14 days for a full refund by writing to support@collegerecruit.tech. Beyond that, if the software does not work as described, tell us and we will put it right or refund you. 9. AI-generated drafts Portfolio text, personal statements, fit explanations, scholarship estimates and outreach drafts are generated by a language model from the information you give us. They can be wrong. Estimates are not offers. You are responsible for reading, editing and approving anything before you send or rely on it, and you should confirm figures with each college's own admissions or financial aid office. 10. Contacting coaches You are responsible for your own outreach. Only use contact details you obtained lawfully from a college's public staff directory or that a coach gave you directly. Follow the recruiting rules that apply to you, including NCAA or NAIA contact periods and any restrictions for your sport and division — these change over time and we do not monitor or enforce them. Do not send bulk or repeated unwanted messages. If a coach adds themselves to our do-not-contact list the software will block them, and you must not then contact them by other means. 11. Ending the agreement You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the law, or where a guardian withdraws consent. 12. Liability The service is provided as-is. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. We are not liable for recruitment, admission, immigration or financial outcomes. 13. Changes We will publish a new version string and tell you before material changes take effect. 14. Law Hungarian law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
